Inspirations Behind Our Most Popular Mountain Graphic T-Shirt and Hoodie Designs

At North Adams we love the outdoors. And nothing say’s the great outdoors like the mountains. There’s so much to love – the way they dominate the landscape, the promises of adventure and a challenge, and a quiet escape from the daily grind. The power of these majestic cathedrals of nature has inspired some of our most popular mountain graphic tees.

All of North Adams’ mountain graphic t-shirts and hoodies are created by independent artists. We thought it would be cool to look at the real-life inspirations of some of our most popular mountain designs.

Mountain Sky

Mountain sky was created by artist Jason Rutledge from Waco Texas. As with many of our designs, Jason’s illustration is a simple, modern take on a mountain range with snow peaks at dusk. We love the colors of this design and the way they transition from light to dark. We like this design against a dark t-shirt or hoodie.

Mountain sky is available on our classic organic cotton & polyester crew neck t-shirt in sizes S-2XL in charcoal gray (pictured here), heather black and heather espresso. It is also available on our organic cotton pullover hoodie in colors black and navy blue in sizes S-2XL. 

Retro Mountain

Clean, jagged angled lines create a unique visual take on a mountain range in Retro Mountain. Artist Dalibor Pajic from Auckland, New Zealand used retro browns, yellows and blue to create a simple yet powerful visual that makes a statement without being too bold and in your face.

Slope

We’ve never seen a design quite like this one. The use of simple triangles paints a clear picture of a sloping mountainside dotted with pines. Slope was also created by Dalibor Pajic, a true master of modern that uses simple lines and shapes to create intriguing visuals. We love how the trees get larger in the foreground to create the appearance of depth and slope. Although we love all of our babies here at North Adams, this one is a standout.

Our signature crew t-shirt is made using sustainable practices that include using recycled materials. And our manufacturer’s fabric waste program reduces scrap. Slope will also be available on our organic graphic hoodie soon.

Texture Mountain

Simple, clean design. That’s what we’re all about here at North Adams, and Texture Mountain hits the mark. There’s something intriguing about bright colors being used to depict nature. It helps it stand out more and puts a new twist on a familiar landscape.

Texture Mountain was designed by Josh Warren from southern California. Josh is a seasoned illustrator and graphic designer. We have a few of his designs in our collection. This design is available on our crew neck t-shirt in charcoal gray (pictured here), navy blue and military green in sizes ranging from S-2XL in colors.
